The Department of Tourism (DOT) Bicol will showcase the best of Bicol region and promote its various tour packages in this year’s Travel Tour Expo.
The Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) annual Travel Tour Expo (TTE) is expecting the 16th edition of the TTE ending today at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Although industry insiders said the current financial crunch has affected the travel industry, the 1,200 strong members of the National Association of Independent Travel Agencies (Naitas) remain optimistic in the coming year as they have identified areas that could attract inbound tourists.
During a meeting with Naitas-Cebu members, Naitas vice-president Marisol Barria urged members to capitalize on the still untapped destinations to further attract tourists who may want to see a respite from the current financial crisis. Continue reading →

CEBU CITY – Answering the advocacy of the Department of Tourism (DoT) to capitalize on the international incentive travel market, the Cebu Visitors and Convention Bureau (CVCB) aims to reactivate the meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibition (MICE) industry in Cebu.
CVCB chairman Jay P. Aldeguer said that although the group still has to reorganize its membership base and its thrust, the group has vowed to push Cebu as the preferred MICE destination in the world. Continue reading →

CEBU CITY – Cebu is set to get a big chunk of the incentive travel market given its attractiveness as a business and leisure destination in Southeast Asia, a tourism official said yesterday.
Department of Tourism Undersecretary for Promotions and Planning Eduardo Jarque Jr. said following the success of the recently concluded 7th Philippine Incentive (Phil-Incentive) Marketing Conference, the department will lead tourism stakeholders here in raising their creativity and innovation in order to set the Philippines one step ahead of its competitors in the region.
